BIO

Samira Hiesl is a PhD student in the modelling team in the Environmental Research Group. After obtaining her Masters degree in Health Psychology, she started her PhD at Imperial College London in October 2023.

Her research focus on population-level behaviour change to achieve Net Zero. In her PhD, she is looking at how we can learn from the COVID-19 pandemic about population-level behaviour change and apply this knowledge to a Net Zero context. Her PhD project is funded by the National Institute for Health care and Research (NIHR) School of Public Health Research (SPHR).

Samira is supervised by Dr Sean Beevers (Imperial College London), Prof Milica Vasiljevic (Durham University), and Dr Christina Atchison (Imperial College London)
