RESEARCH

Editorial Activities
I have served 6 years as an Editorial board member of the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London A (2015-2021) and still serve as a guest editor of special volumes on Metamaterials (2022-2023). I am also an Editorial Board member of the European Physics Journal Applied Metamaterials (2015-present), the Journal Advances in Mathematical Physics (2018-present) and the Journal Applied Sciences: Acoustics Section (2018-present). I have been since 2017 a Joint Executive Editor of the Metamaterials book series (ISTE/Wiley Publishers), which also publishes peer-reviewed Open Access research articles.

Research activities
My main research interests lie in the physics of metamaterials for an enhanced control of wave and diffusion phenomena (including negative refraction and cloaking), in homogenization of multiscale periodic and quasi-periodic media, and in finite element models of acoustic, electromagnetic, hydrodynamic and elastodynamic waves.

Membership
I am a member of the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the London Mathematical Society (LMS).
