DrSarah Ferguson Briggs

My research expertise lies in the mathematical study of fluid dynamics, in particular interfacial instabilities in immiscible multi-layer flows. I have studied hydrodynamical instabilities arising from capillary, shear and hydro-elastic forces, as well as the effect of magnetic fields on the interfacial dynamics of ferrofluids or electrically conducting fluids.
