Sophie is Consultant in Public Health and a public health innovator, dedicated to driving impactful change within health and care systems through an applied public health approach.
Sophie specialises in delivering and evaluating health policies, optimising clinical pathways, and addressing health inequalities, while leveraging her extensive expertise in public health research. Senior leadership roles have included Director of Research & Development at West London NHS Trust and, separately, Implementation Lead for NIHR's Applied Research Collaboration for Northwest London, demonstrating her ability to translate research into real-world health service improvements.
Sophie is a versatile public health leader with a track record of successfully implementing a wide-ranging portfolio of health improvement programmes, including: national menopause care initiatives, integrating oral health into patient pathways, and providing global medical teams with clinical and cost effectiveness guidance on treatment, interventions and care processes. She is also an experienced Educational Supervisor, and has successfully established accredited specialty training locations for public health, including at Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.
Sophie’s Consultant service career, spanning acute, mental health and community NHS trusts, Bupa, and NHS England, is underpinned by strong academic credentials from the University of Oxford, Charité Medical School, Berlin and Warwick Medical School. Sophie is a Fellow of both the Faculty of Public Health and Royal Society for Public Health, and a longstanding honorary academic of Imperial College.
