DrShayan Bahadori

Dr Shayan Bahadori is a Research Associate in Applied Health Services Research and Diagnostic Technologies at Imperial College London. His research focuses on the evaluation, implementation, and real-world adoption of healthcare innovations, with expertise in diagnostic technologies, human factors, translational research, and digital health.

He is a member of the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in In Vitro Diagnostics and leads the Real-World Challenge (RWC) Lab, a human factors and translational research facility that evaluates healthcare innovations under realistic clinical and community conditions. Through simulation, workflow analysis, and behavioural research, the lab supports the development and optimisation of diagnostic and healthcare technologies, with a strong emphasis on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

Prior to joining Imperial College London, Dr Bahadori worked within the Orthopaedic Research Institute at Bournemouth University, where his research focused on robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery, wearable technologies, virtual simulation, gait analysis, and digital rehabilitation. He holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Bionanotechnology, and a PhD in Digital Health and Rehabilitation.
