BIO
I am a General Surgery Specialist Registrar in the Wessex Deanery with a subspecialty interest in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery.
I previously completed a Master’s degree in Integrated Immunology at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Oxford, where I developed a particular interest in cancer sciences. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Department of Surgery & Cancer, Imperial College London, under the supervision of Professor the Lord Ara Darzi, Mr Christopher Peters, and Dr George Mylonas.
My research focuses on the use of soft robotic platforms to advance therapeutic endoscopy, with particular emphasis on enhancing endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). I work closely with engineers at the Hamlyn Centre to evaluate these novel technologies in preclinical models, aiming to bridge the gap between technical innovation and clinical application.
