BIO

Sakhr Alhuthali is an early-career researcher at the Sargent Centre for Process Systems Engineering, specialising in mathematical modelling, bioprocess engineering, and process optimisation. His research spans bioreactor optimisation for therapeutic protein production, dairy processing, and the diversity of soil microbes associated with desert truffles. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and has collaborated with leading research institutions in France and Saudi Arabia.

In addition to his research, Sakhr serves as a reviewer for more than 20 international academic journals, including Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, Processes, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, Sustainability, Antibodies, and Plant Biotechnology.

Beyond academia, Sakhr is an active higher education expert and commentator. He has contributed to newspaper articles and public discussions on global higher education, offering insights into international education policy, research, and academic development.
