DrRyan Williams

I am an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Mental Health Research in the Division of Psychiatry and a resident psychiatrist at South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

My research focuses on the evaluation of interventions for people with mental health problems, particularly the early stages of psychosis. I have a specific interest in the relationship between psychosis and other abnormal experiences such as intrusive thoughts and dissociation, and the role of complex trauma in mental illness.

I am passionate about research and service user empowerment in mental health, and aim to advance evidence-based practice with a forward-thinking, trauma-informed approach to diagnosis and treatment.
