  • July - August 2023: Edward Bird (2nd year MSci chemistry). EPSRC bursary for UROP studentship. Project title - automated molecular docking: fragment-based drug design against bacteria.

 

  • October 2024 - June 2025: Pooja Reddy (4th year MSci chemistry). Leiden University with Prof. Aleksander Kros. 

 

  • January - June 2024: Darinnara Kamal (3rd year BSc chemistry). Project title - a fragment-based in silico approach in the generation of novel antibiotics.

 

  • January - June 2024: Kaanan Shah (3rd year BSc chemistry). Project title - applying a game-based learning approach to increase organic chemistry fluency in 2nd year undergraduates.

 

  • July - August 2024: Khushleen Kaur (3rd year MSci chemistry with industrial placement). EPSRC bursary for UROP studentship. Project title - design and development of novel antimicrobial agents using in silico methods.

 

  • October 2025 - June 2026: Isaac Sanders (4th year MSci chemistry German language for science). LMU Munich with Dr Pulak Ghosh. Prizewinner: best MSci talk in chemical biology.

 

  • January - March 2026: Catherine Huang (3rd year BSc chemistry). Project title - Using structure-guided fragment-based design to explore periplasm-exposed pockets in bacetrial proteins.

 

  • January - March 2026: Gonçalo Rolo (3rd year BSc chemistry). Project title - Fragment-based drug discovery of novel inhibitors targeting bacterial transport proteins. Prizewinner: best organic BSc project.
