Ramandeep is an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Transport Engineering and Modelling within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research interests lie in the application of data science techniques to improve the performance of transport networks, namely statistical modelling, machine learning, and agent-based simulation modelling. Specific applications include: integrated demand and supply side network modelling, demand forecasting, analysing journey time performance, passenger crowding estimation, asset maintenance management, road safety, and big data performance analytics.

Prior to joining Imperial as an Assistant Professor, Ramandeep was a Research Fellow at the Technical University of Munich, and held a Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellowship in the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering. She completed her PhD at Imperial College London in 2019 on the journey time performance of urban mass transit systems under the supervision of Professor Dan Graham, funded by the Transport Strategy Centre and Transport for London.
