I am a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow, Principal Investigator, and Group Leader of the RUQu group at Imperial College London. I also lead the photonic quantum computing program (Theme 1.3)  in The Hub for Quantum Computing via Integrated and Interconnected Implementations (QCi3).  As an experimental physicist, my work is inherently multidisciplinary, bridging semiconductor physics, fabrication, photonics, and quantum optics to explore the physical implementation of quantum information protocols.

Prior to my fellowship at Imperial, I held senior research positions at the University of Oxford and Griffith University (Australia), where I co-led teams in quantum photonics and demonstrated milestone technologies such as the first quantum Fredkin gate, quantum advantage in randomness processing, tests of nonlocality, and sub-shot-noise stimulated emission microscopy.

I earned my PhD from the University of Cambridge and Toshiba, where my thesis focused on developing the first electrical sources of indistinguishable single photons, culminating in quantum interference experiments between photons emitted from remote quantum dots.

My research group focuses on developing and testing the building blocks of future quantum technologies—specifically in the realms of quantum computing, communications, and metrology. I am particularly interested in using photonic hardware built in-house to experimentally implement quantum algorithms and probe fundamental questions in quantum mechanics.

Beyond the lab, I am a professional graphics designer and animator, a skill I use to communicate and promote complex research concepts through motion graphics and visual storytelling.
