BIO
Raúl C. Rosales serves on the Singapore Green Finance Centre (SGFC)'s Management Committee, where he played a pivotal role in launching the Centre in 2020. He is also a Senior Executive Fellow at Imperial College Business School, and serves as Co-Director of the King’s College London Net Zero Centre within the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES). At King’s College, he leads impact research on carbon markets and develops the Net Zero Centre industry ecosystems and investment funds.
Since 2014, Raúl has also served as a Senior Advisor for Orchard Global Asset Management, an alternative credit asset manager in London, focusing on capital management solutions for banks through risk-transfer solutions and partnerships for specialized investment strategies in the space of private credit, particularly in infrastructure and energy debt funds.
He previously held roles as a Senior Banker for Energy at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and as Global Head of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) at BBVA, where, between 2008 and 2010, he raised €1,423 million and secured an additional €4,150 million in funding from International Financial Institutions (IFIs).
With a career spanning 30 years in the financial industry, Raúl holds a PhD in Civil Engineering, specializing in sustainable infrastructure and energy project financing, from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain (2013).
