BIO

Dr. Ricardo Ribas is a Senior Programme Manager at Imperial College London with over 18 years of experience leading complex research initiatives across academic, clinical, and international settings. He currently oversees the development and delivery of two large-scale, disease-agnostic neonatal research platforms designed to support adaptive clinical studies using real-world data. These platforms aim to accelerate translational research and improve patient access to innovative treatments both in the UK and globally.


Dr. Ribas provides strategic, scientific, and operational leadership, collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and external partners to align research delivery with national and global health priorities. He also works closely with clinical teams and senior stakeholders worldwide, supporting administrative functions and leading engagement strategies to enhance participation in neonatal clinical trials.


Before joining Imperial, he spent over a decade in a senior scientific role at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, where he led multiple projects focused on cancer research and contributed to team leadership, public engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

He holds a PhD in Reproduction and Nuclear Transfer, jointly awarded by the University of Edinburgh and the University of Porto, and has a degree in Veterinary Medicine
