BIO

Dr Restuadi is a bioinformatics researcher with a focus on understanding the complex biological mechanisms underlying various diseases, including infectious diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, autoimmune conditions, and cancer. He utilizes advanced statistical analysis techniques to examine large-scale datasets, seeking patterns and insights that can contribute to improved understanding of disease development and progression. His research aims to support the development of novel diagnostics, preventative strategies, and targeted therapies for a wide range of health challenges.

Currently, he is engaged in research to optimize cancer medication regimens through mathematical modelling. Working under the supervision of Dr Louise Fets and Professor Boris Lenhard at Imperial College London LMS, he employs his expertise in bioinformatics and statistical analysis to develop computational models. These models help to understand cancer drug absorption and metabolism, providing insights that can then be used to optimize drug delivery strategies. The goal of this research is to personalise treatment plans, leading to maximized treatment efficacy and minimized side effects for cancer patients.

In addition to his research endeavours within Imperial College London, Restuadi also holds a part-time position as an associate bioinformatician and statistical method consultant. He works with University College London's Institute for Child Health (UCL-ICH) and NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre (GOSH-BRC). In this role, he contributes to the curation of a large cohort of UK national-wide paediatric autoimmune disease data. He also shares his skills by teaching basic and advanced statistics to researchers at these institutions.
