BIO
Dr Richard Palermo joined Imperial College London in 2021 as a Teaching Fellow in the BSc Medical Biosciences degree. He is currently teaching and designing teaching material for the undergraduate courses Molecular Cell Biology (MCB) and Lab Pod 1.
He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Sussex investigating Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transcription factors and their role in the recruitment of host cell pausing/elongation factors at viral promoters. In 2013 he joined Peter Gordan's group at Cancer Research (CRUK) to work on polycomb regulated transcription. His second PostDoc was at Imperial in 2014 with Dr Rob White.
