TEACHING INTERESTS
I currently teach an introduction to Aeroelasticity, which is based on the book Dynamics of Flexible Aircraft. Aeroelasticity starts at the interface between structural dynamics and unsteady aerodynamics, so we first need to build a fundamental understanding of both disciplines - which is necessarily different to the way they are studied separately. In the module, we cover the basics trying to build an intuititve understanding of various coupled physical phenomena, how, and we use the mathematical language of feedback control to present a general view of coupled dynamical systems.
