BIO
Ricky is an NIHR funded PhD Candidate within the North West London Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC) based in the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI). His research is looking at the use of large language models (LLMs) for discharge communication to reduce harm from language barriers in paediatric emergency care. The project is under the following theme: 'Influencing patient and healthcare worker behaviours to optimise safety and minimise risk', guided by Mr Erik Mayer, Dr Ruud Nijman, Dr Adam Sutherland, and previously, Dr Phoebe Averill.
Ricky completed his MSc in Communication, Management, and Health at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Switzerland, following undergraduate studies at the University of Pécs in Hungary.
His previous experience includes work in business development and consulting for pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies, as well as carrying out mixed-methods research in behaviour change utilising large datasets and qualitative approaches.
