BIO

Ratneshwaran Maheswaran is a researcher at the UK Dementia Research Institute, Imperial College London, working within the Sandor Lab under the supervision of Dr Cynthia Sandor. His research focuses on the harmonisation, integration, and analysis of complex multimodal biomedical datasets for Parkinson's disease research, with a particular emphasis on wrist accelerometry and wearable time-series data feeding into self-supervised learning frameworks for early detection.

 

He holds a BEng in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in AI for Biomedicine and Healthcare from University College London. His research background spans biosignal processing, LLM evaluation, and agentic AI systems.

 

His broader interests sit at the intersection of clinical AI, AI safety, and governance, encompassing the evaluation and reliability of large language models, socioeconomic dimensions of AI deployment, and the design of responsible agentic systems in high-stakes environments.
