BIO
Dr Robin Lamboll researches what humans emit into our atmosphere, what we might emit in the future and what effects it will have on our climate.
Robin mostly works on open-source software and data analysis. Examples include calculating how much CO2 was can emit while keeping below the Paris Agreement temperature target; analysing relationships between known or projected emissions to infer unknown emissions, and the impact of COVID-19 on human emissions. They contributed to the IPCC's AR6 working group 1 and 3 reports as well as several UNEP emissions gap reports, and are a lead author for chapter 5 (scenarios and future warming) in the working group 1 report for AR7.
Robin completed a PhD in the physics of solar cells at the University of Cambridge, modelling the behaviour of new designs of solar cells, and has an MSci in Natural Sciences from Cambridge. They have previously worked as a quantitative consultant and successfully represented the UK in multiple international poetry slams.
