BIO
I trained as a medical doctor (MD) and I am currently funded by an International Training Fellowship (Wellcome Trust) to conduct my postgraduate research (PhD).
Much of my work has been about non-communicable diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and their associated risk factors. My current work aims to provide a cardiovascular risk score for primary prevention in Latin America.
Topics of interest include data science, epidemiology and bio-statistics. I am also interested in systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Recently, I am exploring the interactions between non-communicable and infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries.
