BIO
I am an environmental political scientist with six years of experience in climate change adaptation across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
My PhD focuses on understanding the role of mangroves as drivers for social and ecological resilience in Freetown’s informal settlements. This transdisciplinary project operates at the science-policy-society interface, where local community knowledge intersects with geospatial data applications and climate data.
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege to work with high-level experts and policymakers at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), the European Commission, the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI HQ) in Sweden, and the African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) in South Africa.
My academic background is in Politics and International Relations (BA) and African Politics (MSc), and I recently completed an Advanced Studies Master in GIS for integrated natural resource management, with a major in Green Infrastructure and Ecosystem Services.
