RESEARCH

My reserach explore the physics of water and ions at interfaces and under nanoscale confinement, and how that physics can enable sensing and selective separation. She builds atomically precise channels from 2D materials and combine nanofabrication, electrical and spectroscopic measurements, transport theory and modelling to reveal how water composition, surface chemistry and operating conditions govern device behaviour. She also develop nanochannel-based approaches to sensing changes in ionic and molecular environments, and test how membrane surfaces control selective transport. Together, these capabilities allow to connect molecular mechanisms to measurable performance, design decisive experiments and identify principles that transfer across materials and devices. More recently, her team has been applying machine learning and generative methods in materials research.
