RESEARCH

RESEARCH INTERESTS
His team focuses on coupled microbial genomics and quantum computing simualtion for the environment and human health. Some areas of special interest include:

1. Electron/Proton tunnelling and hopping through epigenomic regulation for material-induced direct interspecies electron transfer and oxygen detoxification/reduction.
2. Applications of Marcus theory, multi-meta'omics, and quantum computing (i.e., Open Quantum System, Quantum Information Theory, Variational Quantum Eigensolver; Gaussian Bosonic Sampling ) in environmental biotechnologies.
3. Carbon and nitrogen transformation in fermentation, nanaerobic respiration, Anammox, P recovery, PHB/PHHx production, and digestion.
Water reuse and cooling system optimisation—both within Water Centres and in semiconductor manufacturing applications

4. Gene expression in fetal lung under hypoxi and cancer signalling
