BIO

I am a research fellow in the Novel Reservoir and Simulation group (NORMS). I am the main developer of the Imperial College Finite Element Reservoir simulator (IC-FERST), which introduced unstructured dynamic mesh optimisation into reservoir simulation with coupled physics and chemistry for the first time. The webpage of the project can be found here.

I have developed and applied methods for multiphase flow in heterogeneous porous media, heat and contaminant and reactive transport, and well optimisation. I currently supervise 5 PhD projects across a broad range of reservoir simulation topics and I am currently part of the national core studies program to tackle the COVID pandemic which reports to SAGE.

Research interest
Subsurface energy storage systems; aerosols and airborne particle dispersion; multiphase flows in porous media; geothermal energy; non-linear and linear solvers; multigrid methods; discretization techniques; phase change; mesh to mesh interpolation techniques; unstructured dynamic mesh optimisation; well trajectories and optimisation; surface based modelling.
