RESEARCH
Research in the Langford laboratory is focussed on pathogens of man (Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis and Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and animals (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida) that associate with the respiratory tract and/or cause invasive disease. Dependent on the pathogen the focus is diagnostics, mechanisms of bacterial pathogenicity, and/or antibiotic discovery.
