BIO
Phoebe is part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science (Cohort 5), and is supervised by Dr. David Green and Prof. Shiranee Sriskandan.
Her PhD research focuses on developing a deeper understanding of how environmental conditions influence the aerosol transmission and prevalence of Streptococcus pyogenes. A key aspect of her work involves the Controlled Electrodynamic Levitation and Extraction of Bioaerosols onto a Substrate (CELEBS) instrument, which she built in collaboration with the University of Bristol.
Before starting her PhD, Phoebe completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Reading. She developed an interest in bioaerosols during an industrial placement with the UK Health Security Agency, where she gained valuable experience in the field.
