MrsOlga Kravchenko

Olga Kravchenko is a design and innovation leader specialising in physical product development, advanced materials and computational design. Alongside her industry work, she is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, where she brings current industry practice into undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

Olga was previously a founding member and Development Director at RHEON Labs, where she built and led the design capability and worked across performance apparel, footwear, protective equipment and other material-led products. Her work has contributed to more than 30 commercial product developments with brands including adidas, Decathlon, Ruroc, SOAR and Xenith, as well as five patented developments.

She currently works with companies through her independent practice.

At Imperial, Olga leads advanced design teaching across product development, computational design and emerging design technologies. She introduced computational design, metamaterials and AI-enabled design tools into the curriculum and supervises projects across sports engineering, footwear and protective equipment.

Her current research explores computational methods for simulating and optimising product performance, with a particular focus on the interface between garments and the human body.

Olga holds an MSc in Emergent Technologies and Design from the Architectural Association and is currently undertaking a doctorate at MMU
