DrNikolaos Trasanidis

Dr Nikolaos Trasanidis is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre for Haematology and the Hugh & Josseline Langmuir Centre for Myeloma Research at Imperial College London. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Research (Cancer Epigenomics) from Imperial in 2020.

Dr Trasanidis has a strong expertise in computational biology and bioinformatics, with a focus on the application of multi-omic technologies and advanced data integration methods in clinical research. His work focuses on biomarker discovery, precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, and targeted therapy development. His research combines systems medicine and machine learning approaches to reveal the genetic and epigenetic alterations underlying multiple myeloma initiation and progression. He is particularly interested in leveraging AI and multi-omics data to model disease mechanisms at the cellular and tissue level, aiming to uncover novel therapeutic targets for targeted and patient-specific therapies.
