Her research experience and interest span different non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, liver disease, and neurological disorders, with a focus on identifying clinically relevant biomarkers and risk factors. One of her key research projects is a multicentre clinical trial investigating colchicine as a repurposed therapy in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). In collaboration with cardiologists at Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java, the clinical study is complemented by in-vitro research to investigate the potential mechanisms underlying the effects of colchicine and its role in preventing adverse cardiac remodelling and post-infarction heart failure.
