BIO

Nora Escher is a PhD student in the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit within the Department of Primary Care and Public Health. She is funded by the Imperial College London President’s PhD Scholarship.

Her doctoral research aims to identify effective double-duty policies to reduce the burden of both, over and undernutrition in LMICs, as well as to develop a model to predict the future economic impact of such policies.

Nora has obtained her MSc in Molecular Health Sciences and her BSc in Biology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland.

Prior to starting her PhD, Nora worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in health procurement and implementation, as well as for the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute on a project addressing antimicrobial resistance.
