Mark Rosenberg is a Research Fellow in Computational and Systems Medicine, Department of Surgery and Cancer.
Research Interests:
Structural biology of challenging membrane proteins.
Optimizing expression systems for the generation of membrane proteins.
Crystallising membrane proteins of medical interest for 3-D structure determination for the purposes of drug design.
Crystallization of membrane proteins related to cancer therapy and cystic fibrosis.
Design of new methodology for the production of high-quality two-dimensional crystals for cryo-electron microscopy.

Dr Rosenberg has determined the first three-dimensional structures of P-glycoprotein (P-gp), multidrug resistance protein 1 (MRP1) and the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR).
