DrMariane Furtado

I have a Ph.D. in Epidemiology with a focus on applying machine learning techniques in healthcare to inform decision-making. My work involves developing interpretable models to predict risk using structured, longitudinal data from routine clinical records. My experience extends to evaluating public policies, including randomized evaluations, within intersectoral projects across education, health, and social policies. My research addresses health disparities and policies related to maternal and child development, integrating diverse datasets to generate actionable insights for improved health outcomes. Also, I have a background in communicating across all organizational and government levels, I bring experience in strategy development, protocol design, and ethical processes. I am dedicated to coordinating projects, teaching, and mentoring in study design, data analysis, and data literacy, with a commitment to making advanced analytics practical and impactful in clinical and policy settings.
