BIO

Margarita holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London. From February 2017 to January 2026, she worked with the World Cancer Research Fund’s CUP Global group, performing systematic reviews and meta-analyses on associations between lifestyle factors including adiposity, physical activity, diet and cancer. 

 

She completed her PhD at Imperial College London in 2025, examining how obesity influences cancer survival using meta-analysis and individual-level analysis of data from the UK Biobank and EPIC cohorts. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Public Health. 

 

Her research interests lie in understanding how lifestyle and other factors influence health, wellbeing, and disease outcomes.
