DrMomina Yazdani

Dr Momina Yazdani is a clinical research fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. She is undertaking a PhD funded by a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship and Myocarditis UK. Her research interests are in studying gene-environment interactions in cardiomyopathy harnessing induced pluripotent stem cell disease modelling technologies combined with single cell and spatial transcriptomics. She is supervised by Dr Michela Noseda and Prof Sanjay Prasad.

Dr Yazdani is module co-lead for the Genomic Medicine MSc Programme and supervises MSc and undergraduate students in Dr Noseda's lab.

She graduated from the University of Nottingham medical school with Distinction and a 1st Class Honours intercalation degree. She was an NIHR Academic Foundation Programme trainee in Sheffield before moving to London for core medical training in Northwest Thames. In 2019 she was appointed an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship and to specialty training in cardiology in South Thames.
