Overview
Mark Trompet's research is focussed on improving benchmarking methodologies, data normalisation techniques and development of key performance indicators. He is the centre's Head of Bus Benchmarking and responsible for both the International Bus Benchmarking Group and the American Bus Benchmarking Group. His applied research is dedicated to assisting bus organisations in identifying and implementing best practice through the application of benchmarking comparisons and detailed case study evaluations.

Mark has also undertaken research for the CoMET and Nova Metro Benchmarking Groups. These groups consists of respectively twelve of the world's largest urban railways and fifteen medium sized metros in Europe, The Americas and the Far East. This benchmarking study is dedicated to assisting metro railways in identifying and implementing best practice through the application of benchmarking comparisons and detailed case study evaluations.
