BIO

Maxime is a PhD student in the Department of Economics & Public Policy of Imperial College Business School at Imperial College London. He is affiliated with the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI) and holds a studentship from London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP) funded by the UKRI Economic and Social Research Council.

His research interests are in the economics of food, nutrition, agriculture, and the environment. Maxime's thesis focuses on the impact of climate shocks on diets as well as the evaluation of food policies to promote healthier diets. His thesis supervisors are Prof. Franco Sassi and Dr. Laure de Preux.

Maxime has published several articles on these topics in peer-reviewed journals. He has also contributed to numerous book chapters, WHO publications, and NGO reports.

Before beginning the Doctoral Programme at Imperial College London, Maxime worked for 3 years in the Economics of Noncommunicable Diseases team, Risk Factors and Nutrition Unit, at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) - WHO Regional HQ for the Americas - and as a consultant for the World Bank Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice.

Maxime holds an MRes in Economics & Public Policy from Imperial College Business School (United Kingdom), an MSc in Economics from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), and an MSc in Corporate Finance from EDHEC Business School (France). He speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently.
