BIO
I am a Ph.D. student in Medical Clinical Research working on the characterisation spatiotemporal heterogeneities of arbovirus transmission in Panama and investigate how climate seasonality, environmental drivers and extreme weather events influence the observed dynamics using spatiotemporal transmission models.
I am funded by SENACYT- IFARHU and part of Cohort 10 of the Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Partnership (SSCP DTP). My academic interests lie at the intersection of climate change and infectious disease epidemiology.
Background
I hold a BSc in Microbiology and Parasitology and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Panama. Since 2019, I have been affiliated with the Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies, contributing to research on vector-borne diseases and public health surveillance.
