My main area of research is the development of directly written sensors for SHM applications in composite materials, such as piezoelectric transducers made from sprayed PVDF or printed strain gauges using carbon-based or silver-based conductive inks.

I am particularly interested in developing smart structures with integrated sensing and diagnostic systems.
