BIO

Monika joined Imperial College as a Teaching Fellow in Educational Development in March 2016. She holds a MA degree from Jagiellonian University and a PhD in Education specializing in Technology Enhanced Learning.

Monika has been working in the field of education since 2006, initially in further education institutions where she was a lecturer and e-learning pioneer. She received a JISC e-learning award for her work. Her work for Higher Education started with lecturing on MA in Education and PGCert programmes, supervising MA students, delivering research methods sessions and designing a blended/ online research methods module. Monika started working in educational development in 2013. Initially, in her role as a Lecturer in Educational Technology she worked on implementing an e-learning vision across her institution, and taught on PGCert and PGR modules on Technology Enhanced Learning. Later on she became a project leader for feedback and assessment, leading institutional implementation of feedback and assessment strategy realized mostly through TESTA project, and developed and delivered workshops and modules related to feedback and assessment on PGCert and PGR.

Monika's research interests include feedback and assessment, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and foreign language education.
