BIO

Marc Lorentzen is a bioinformatician working as post-doc researcher in the Bevan prostate cancer group. Originally a biochemist, he studied at the University of Copenhagen and University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2014. He did his PhD in Bordeaux from 2015-18 as one of 15 early stage researchers in MICROWINE, a Marie Curie Actions European Training Network, working with genetic sequencing comparative genomics of bacteria in wine fermentation. From 2019-2023, he was part of the Bevan lab working on post-transcriptional regulation of the androgen receptor in prostate cancer (particularly by microRNAs). From 2023, he has been part of the Cunnea/Fotopoulou lab, working on classification and evolution in ovarian cancer.
