BIO
Marc Legrand is a Post-doctoral Teaching and Research Associate at Imperial. Prior to joining Imperial he completed his PhD at HEC Paris, France and has been a visiting phd scholar at the University of Minnesota.
Marc's research lies at the intersection of stakeholder strategy and institutional theory. He studies how communities of stakeholders overcome collective action dilemma when facing the depletion of shared resources by designing collaborative governance arrangements. In particular, he studies the role of pre-existing institutional frameworks (e.g. history, culture, norms, collective identity) in guiding governance design.
His work has been presented at SMS, AOM, ARCS, and other international conferences. His paper on groundwater management in California was finalist for both Best PhD Paper and Best Paper Award at SMS 2025.
