BIO
Mirko De Maria is a second-year PhD Student in Economics at Imperial.
His main field of research is Empirical Industrial Organization. In particular, his research focuses on quantifying the drivers of technological change in the economy, with a particular emphasis on how market power and market concentration shape innovation incentives.
Before joining Imperial, Mirko was a predoctoral research fellow at Yale University, where he was a research assistant in the Department of Economics and a visiting graduate student in the Department of Mathematics. He received his Master's Degree in Economics from UCL and his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Sapienza University of Rome.
