Madelaine Chapman is a careers consultant at Imperial College, where she has worked since July 2018. Within the Careers Service team, she takes a lead in delivery of careers support to students in the Chemistry, Maths and Materials departments. She also leads on the delivery of careers support to PhD students, including coordinating a programme of workshops delivered through the Graduate School.
Madelaine has worked in careers since 2010, starting out as a career adviser for research staff/postdocs at the University of Cambridge, where she was part of the postdoc careers service for over seven years. She also worked at the LSE as the careers consultant for PhD students and worked with undergraduates, master's and PhD students in Cambridge.
Her PhD was in Chemistry, from the University of Edinburgh and before moving into careers work, she worked in science publishing for the Royal Society of Chemistry.
