BIO

Léah Camarcat is a PhD student in the Centre for Transport Engineering and Modelling (CTEM) supervised by Prof. Mohammed Quddus and Dr. Felix Feng. She was awarded the Skempton scholarship to pursue her research. Her research focuses on developing collision prediction and avoidance methods for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs). She has expertise in:
- computer vision,
- data science,
- machine learning and deep learning,
- hierarchical Bayesian modelling,
- causal reasoning.

She participated in two academic industry projects with National Highways England and Transport for Greater Manchester. Additionally, she is very involved in the life of the department, she was the research postgraduate transport section representative in 2023-2024, and teaches several courses including but not limited to Traffic Engineering, Analytical Methods, Creative Design week, and Constructionarium.
