DrLaura Patel

My teaching at present encompasses lecturing on solid state and main group / cluster chemistry to year 1 and 2 undergraduates respectively, year 1 and 2 small-group tutorials, and running year 1, 2 and 3 laboratory courses including a sustainability-themed group project for year 1. I also run sessions on how learning happens and self-reflection for year 1. I supervise undergraduate final year research projects in chemistry education, and work on development of the department’s education provision as chair of Learning and Teaching Strategy Group, Practical Chemistry lead, and member of Teaching Committee.
