BIO
Laura is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, Global Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and Senior Lecturer at the University of East London. Her recent research focuses on applications of artificial intelligence for Public Health, including predictive analytics for Healthy Living Costs and related policy, development of software tools to improve remote care in Physiotherapy and work with NHS staff and patients to support development of useful Digital Health tools. She has won research funding and awards from MICCAI (Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention Society) ActiveSG, Sport Singapore, Cancer Research UK, the Worshipful Society of Curriers and VinUni in Vietnam, a new university in Vietnam supported by Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania where she led the Epidemiology course. She also recently led the development of a large scale, population-based cohort study of adult employees in Vietnam together with Vietnam’s largest healthcare company and currently leads related projects leveraging AI for improvements in healthcare.
