BIO

My main research interests are 4D sample characterisation, process design and optimisation, chemical reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics. I have been particularly interested in developing methodologies for quantifying the chemical and mechanical performance of processes (e.g. grain depletion in hydrometallurgical processes; surface exposure and preferential breakage for minerals processing, morphological changes in compression tests, electrode degradation, expansion and/or breakage in batteries; and pore development in porous media) by coupling non-destructive imaging techniques with modelling and simulations for process design and optimisation.
