BIO

Fernando Patino-Ramirez Ph.D. is a research and teaching associate in the Geotechnics section at the Civil and Environmental Engineering department.

Dr Patino-Ramirez holds a Ph.D. in Civil engineering (geotechnics), an M.Sc. in Computer science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), and an M.Sc. in Geotechnical engineering (cum-laude) and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia).

In addition, Dr Patino-Ramirez has experience in engineering consulting in Colombia and the US, working on road projects, tunnelling and foundations design.

Fernando represents the postdoctoral researchers and fellows in the Civil and Environmental Department at Imperial College.
