MsLinda Hindmarsh

Linda leads fundraising for University Programmes at Imperial College London, where she is Director of Development and oversees philanthropic strategy across the university’s faculties, regular and legacy giving, and trusts and foundations.

Previously, Linda was Director of Development, Culture and Collections, and earlier Schools and Institutions, at the University of Cambridge, where she led strategy for philanthropic support and built relationships with individual philanthropists, charitable trusts and corporate partners in support of the University’s priorities.

Over more than 30 years, Linda has worked across strategy, business development and fundraising in the UK and the USA, with a particular focus on education and cultural institutions. She began her career in music publishing at Faber Music before moving into international strategy and business development for the BBC and PRS for Music. Among her notable achievements is developing an educational broadcast service in South East Asia for the BBC, for which she was named a finalist for Business Achievement of the Year. More recently, she has worked with leading philanthropists on transformative investments to support education.
