BIO
Lahiru is a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. He works under the supervision of Prof. Leroy Gardner and is co-supervised by Dr. Fiona Walport from University College London. His research focuses on enhancing the structural efficiency and sustainability of steel structures through a streamlined, digitally enabled design approach called finite element analysis (FEA).
His research is funded by the EPSRC iCASE, with Tata Steel contributing the industry funding element.
